FAQ's

 

  • Is MJ’s Carefree Cleaning insured and bonded?  YES

 

  • Are you pet friendly?  Yes of course and if you need pet sitting or dog walking check out our dog walking and pet sitting business MJ The Critter Sitter.

 

  • Do I need to do anything to prepare for my housecleaning?  The only thing that we request is that all clutter is picked up.

 

  • Can I trust your staff? Yes, We do background checks before we hire anyone and do follow up background checks yearly.  We also check references. 

 

  • Do I have to sign a contract? We do not have contracts but you must sign a service agreement before we start service.

 

  • Will I always have the same cleaner?  We will try our best to always have the same cleaner for you.  If you would like to request a certain cleaner or would prefer not to have a certain cleaner please notify us.  Even though we will try our best to accommodate your requests there may be times when your regular cleaner is not available and we will have to substitute with a different cleaner.

 

  • Do I need to be home?  You can be home, but please don’t feel like you have to be there.  Most clients prefer not to be home.  You can leave us with a key or garage code so we can get the job done while you’re at work, running errands, etc.

 

  • What products do you use?  We use eco-friendly products.   We usually use the products that you supply.

 

  • How do I know when you are there and finished with my cleaning?   We will text you when we are on our way and when we are finished. 

 

  • Will I have a regular schedule? We will try and have a set schedule for you but there may be times that we will have to switch your cleaning days/times around.

 

  • Do you provide laundry service?  We do laundry for an extra charge and we only do linens and towels.

 

  • What if I have to cancel my service?     If you have to cancel any service appointment you must give us at least 2 working days notice.  If you give us less than 2 days notice you will be liable for 50% of the service rate and if you cancel the day of service you will be charged 100% of the service rate.

 

  • How do I pay?  We will send you an invoice and you can pay online.  If you prefer to pay by check you must leave a check for your cleaner to pick up on the day of your cleaning.  Payment must be made prior to service.  If you are a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly client you can pay a month ahead of time if you like.

 

  • How do I get started? Contact us by phone, text, or email.  Once we get all your information we can start right away.

 

  • Should I leave a tip?  Tipping is not expected and is totally up to you.

 

  • What if I’m not pleased with my cleaning?  If you are home during your cleaning we recommend that you do a walk through before your cleaner leaves and point out any concerns and they will take care of the issues at no extra charge.   We do not offer refunds or credits so be sure your concerns are taken care of before they leave.  If you were not home and not satisfied with your cleaning please notify us within 24 hours. We will re-clean the area at no charge.

 

  • How should I communicate with you?  Feel free to call us or email us.

 

  • What if I have an alarm system?  If you have an alarm system and if it’s possible we prefer to have our own code and can have this code saved on file.

 

  • What if I need to reschedule my service?  Please call or email us as soon as possible if you need to reschedule.  48 hours is preferred and will avoid any cancelation fees/rescheduling fees.  If we are not notified within 24 hours there will be a rescheduling fee of $60.00.  Please remember our cleaners are assigned and reserved for your appointment.

 

  • What if I accidentally lock you out?  If your cleaner shows up and cannot gain access to your home there will be a $50.00 lock out fee and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to return the same day if we are locked out.

 

  • Do you have gift certificates?  We do!
